How to Reserve a Space

We require a $500 per person non-refundable deposit, payable by credit card or wire transfer, to reserve a space. Once you have made your deposit, we'll send you a Pre-Trip Information Packet that contains everything you need to plan and prepare for your trip.  We accept American Express, MasterCard and Visa cards.

 

Cancellation Policy & Refunds

All cancellations must be submitted in writing to Far Corners Safaris. E-mail submissions are accepted.  Refunds will be given, less the following cancellation charges:

  • 121 - 91 days prior to departure                   $100 per person
  • 90 - 61 days prior to departure                     50% of total price of trip
  • 60 days or less prior to departure                 100% of total price of trip

 

Far Corners Safaris (hereafter referred to as “FCS”), does not cancel trips due to the lack of travelers, but does reserve the right to cancel a trip for any other reason. FCS is not responsible for any expenses incurred in preparing for the trip such as, but not limited to, airline tickets, insurance, special clothing and passport or visa fees.  Additionally, FCS is not responsible for any costs related to medical expenses incurred before, during or after the trip. FCS strongly recommends the purchase of travel insurance which includes trip cancellation and both medical and baggage protection.

 

Final Payment

Final payment is due in full no later than ninety (90) days prior to the departure date of the trip.  Final payment can be made using a credit card or wire transfer only.  

 

Travel Insurance 

Travel/trip insurance is NOT included in the cost of your trip.  FCS strongly recommends the purchase of travel insurance.  Travel insurance offers coverage for unseen problems both before and during your trip.  Typically, the largest potential financial losses one faces when traveling are the loss of payments for the trip and medical expenses that might not be covered by your own health insurance.  Both can be covered by travel insurance. Coverage varies with each plan so make sure you understand the differences between plans and what you are ultimately purchasing.  Ask if emergency evacuation is included, if not purchase a plan that does. You will want to purchase a plan that includes:

  • Medical Protection - Covers sickness, injury and unexpected medical costs and emergency evacuation 
  • Trip Cancellation Protection - Provides cash reimbursement should the trip be cancelled by either you or FCS
  • Baggage Protection - Covers the cost for lost luggage and/or any expenses due to baggage delay

Most companies require a deposit either the day you make your trip deposit or within15 days of making your deposit. You can sometimes purchase travel insurance within 24 hours of departure, although these policies may not include or provide every option of coverage you desire.

Trip Changes

Itineraries will remain as sold unless forced to change by certain conditions/situations (political, climatic, environmental and cultural). We reserve the right to alter any itinerary at any time, if necessary. We will attempt to notify participants of changes as far in advance as possible. Costs incurred by such changes will be the responsibility of the participants.

 

Trip Price Increases

Far Corners Safaris reserves the right to increase the tour price in the event of cost increases due to changes in airfares, currency fluctuations, entrance fee increases or fuel surcharges.
