Botswana

Botswana is without doubt the best safari destination in Southern Africa.  Largely untamed and untouched, it offers exceptional game viewing, including in a canoe on the water. Its geographic contrasts are dramatically stunning and its space immense, with enormous diversity and concentration of wildlife found in few other countries.  Known for famously large herds of elephant and Cape Buffalo, the endangered Wild Dog, a great variety of antelope, and the shy and elusive leopard. It's a breathtaking country and one that you'll definitely want to discover.

We often offer a safari to Botswana with a short visit to Victoria Falls or a safari time in Namibia.  On occasion we include time in South Africa, as it is the gateway to Botswana and to all of Southern Africa.

Best Time to Visit

Botswana is in the Southern Hemisphere so its seasons are opposite to those in the north.  The best time to visit is late-May through October, the dry season and when the days are not so unbearably hot.
